87. A Correction to the Article “A Famous Poetess”

87. Eine Berichtigung Zum Artikel «Eine Berühmte Dichterin»
Die Leser erinnern sich, dass vor einiger Zeit über eine «deutsche Dichterin», Johanna Baltz, in dieser Wochenschrift ein Artikel erschienen ist. Er stellt dar, auf welche Weise der Dilettantismus manchmal in Deutschland «berühmt» wird. Fräulein Baltz schickte nun eine Berichtigung. Ausdrücklich bemerkt werden muss, dass der Verfasser jenes Artikels für den Inhalt persönlich eintritt. Aber was kann man nicht alles berichtigen! Ich druckte also die mir von dem Herrn Rechtsanwalt des Frl. Baltz gesandte «Berichtigung» ab. Aus technischen Gründen aber mit kleinerer Schrift als der Artikel selbst. FräuleinBaltz und ihr Vertreter sind nun geschmackvoll genug, zur weiteren Verbreitung des Ruhmes der «berühmten Dichterin» den Wortlaut des $ 11 des Press[e]gesetzes zu benutzen, der also lautet:
Der Abdruck muss in derselben Schrift wie der zu berichtigende Artikel gedruckt werden.
Was bleibt nun dem armen Redakteur übrig, als der Gewalt eines Gesetzesparagraphen zu weichen und zum Ruhme der «Dichterin» Johanna Baltz weiter zu wirken durch folgende Berichtigung?
