Calendar of the Soul

ST. JOHN'S TIDE

Northern Hemisphere
Week 12

The radiant beauty of the world
Compels my inmost soul to free
God-given powers of my nature
That they may soar into the cosmos,
To take wing from myself
And trustingly to seek myself
In cosmic light and cosmic warmth.

Southern Hemisphere
Week 38

The spirit child within my soul
I feel freed of enchantment.
In heart-high gladness has
The holy cosmic Word engendered
The heavenly fruit of hope,
Which grows rejoicing into worlds afar
Out of my being's godly roots.

Cosmic Memory
GA 11

This important volume reconstructs from the Akasha Record events between the origin of the earth and the beginning of recorded history. Steiner gives an overview of the Atlantean and Lemurian civilizations, their origins, achievements, and fate. These remarkable "lost" root races developed the first concepts of good and evil, manipulated forces of nature, laid the groundwork of all legal and ethical systems, and defined and nurtured the distinctive yet complementary powers of men and women that brought humankind to its highest artistic, intellectual, and spiritual attainments. It was originally published in German as, Aus der Akasha-Chronik.

Early versions of the English translations of this work bore the title Atlantis and Lemuria or The Submerged Continents of Atlantis and Lemuria and contained almost exactly the first half of the version entitled Cosmic Memory.

Atlantis and Lemuria (1911)

This book is the first English publication — a First Edition — of Steiner's Aus Der Akasha-Chronik, GA# 11. Early versions of the English translations of this work bore the title Atlantis and Lemuria or The Submerged Continents of Atlantis and Lemuria and contained almost exactly the first half of the version entitled Cosmic Memory.

Cosmic Memory (1959)

The subject matter of this book pertains to the social, economic, cultural, etc. life of very ancient times. This work cannot be called scholarly in the usual narrow sense of the word in that its method of obtaining information is not the usual scholarly one. However, responsible investigative technique and recording are emphasized. Published by Rudolf Steiner Publications in 1959.
