Experiences of the Supernatural
GA 143

In addition to the well-known lecture Nervousness and I-ness, in which Rudolf Steiner gives very concrete soul exercises to counter the time problem of nervousness, this volume contains lectures on the moral soul forces and the forces of human consciousness, with particular attention being paid to the hidden forces of soul life.

A second focus of the volume is the lectures on the three paths of the soul to Christ; furthermore, there are explanations about the revelation of the secrets in parables and about the prediction of the Christ impulse, whereby the individuality embodied in Novalis is seen as a fourfold herald of the Christ impulse, which is to be grasped spiritually.

A lecture on love and its significance in the world and a Christmas reflection on the threefold aspect of the Christ impulse round off this part of the volume.

All the lectures are member lectures, i.e. lectures and addresses in branches of the Theosophical or Anthroposophical Society in various cities. The lecture on January 14, 1912 in Winterthur was given on the occasion of the founding of the branch there.
