Preface to the Ninth Edition
As before the publication of previous new editions of this book, I have once again revised its contents. This revision has resulted in a considerable number of additions and supplements to the content of the present new edition. In particular, the chapter “Reincarnation of the Spirit and Destiny” has been almost completely reworked. I have found no need to change anything that was presented as findings of Spiritual Science in previous editions. Therefore, nothing essential that was previously in the book has been omitted. On the contrary, much has been added. In the field of Spiritual Science, one always feels the need to clarify what one has said by shedding light on it from different angles. I have already expressed my views on the necessity of drawing on one's ongoing spiritual experience to shape one's words and expressions in the preface to the sixth edition. I have followed this necessity particularly in this new edition. That is why it can be described as “greatly expanded and supplemented.”
