“I will make you a pillar in my temple, and you shall never go out” (Rev. 3:12). For esoteric lessons, the master gives every train of thought, otherwise only the general direction. Higher beings built the human body while man was unconscious. Otherwise, it would not have become so harmonious. Humans did exert some influence, which is why there are illnesses. The heart is the greatest work of art imaginable. The laws of nature are the thoughts of higher beings. Humans are now conscious and should consciously work on their astral body so that it becomes as harmonious as the physical body. A piece of bone is a greater work of art than the Simplon Tunnel. The bone consists of small particles, all of which must lie in a certain direction. Everything in the world is necessary. No carbon there – plants need it. If there were no plants – plants exhale oxygen – humans need it. No carbon, no plants, no humans. It is the same with every substance.
Why are they called columns? The whole world is a temple. We are to become true components of the esoteric world. We will then have continuous consciousness. This is what the passage from the Revelation of John [quoted above] says. The esoteric hour has an influence on the astral body, even if we do not notice it. The astral body is changed. We leave with a different astral body than we came with.
«Ich will dich zu einer Säule in meinem Tempel machen und du sollst nimmer daraus gehen» (Off. 3,12). Meister gibt für esoterische Stunde jeden Gedankengang an, sonst nur die allgemeine Richtung, Höhere Wesenheiten haben den menschlichen Körper aufgebaut, während der Mensch unbewußt war. Sonst wäre er nicht so harmonisch geworden. Etwas hat der Mensch doch Einfluß ausgeübt, deshalb gibt es Krankheiten. Herz größtes Kunstwerk, was man sich denken kann. Naturgesetze sind die Gedanken höherer Wesenheiten. Der Mensch ist jetzt bewußt und soll bewußt an seinem Astralkörper arbeiten, daß er so harmonisch wie der physische wird. Ein Stück eines Knochens größeres Kunstwerk als der Simplontunnel. Der Knochen besteht aus kleinen Teilchen, die alle in bestimmter Richtung liegen müssen. Alles in der Welt ist nötig. Kein Kohlenstoff da - die Pflanzen haben ihn nötig. Wären keine Pflanzen da - Pflanzen atmen Sauerstoff aus - den hat der Mensch nötig. Kein Kohlenstoff, keine Pflanzen, keine Menschen. So ist es mit jedem Stoff.
Warum Säulen genannt? Die ganze Welt ist ein Tempel. Wir sollen richtige Bestandteile der esoterischen Welt werden. Wir werden dann kontinuierliches Bewußtsein haben. Das sagt die [oben angeführte] Stelle aus der Offenbarung Johannes. Die esoterische Stunde hat Einfluß auf den Astralkörper, wenn wir es auch nicht merken. Der Astralkörper wird geändert. Wir gehen mit einem andern Astralkörper weg, als wir kamen.
