Interpretation of the formula: More radiant than the sun ... [see GA 266/1]. The spirit that is within us and explains objects to us is more radiant than the sun. Everything is pure in itself. Coal is pure and water [is] pure. However, the combination of something incompatible gives rise to impurity. The snow crystal has separated out the dirt and is completely pure. This is how our feelings must become.
Auslegung der Formel: Strahlender als die Sonne ... [siehe GA 266/1]. Der Geist, welcher in uns ist und der uns die Gegenstände erklärt, der ist strahlender als die Sonne. Alles ist an sich rein. Kohle ist rein und Wasser [ist] rein. Jedoch (durch) die Verbindung von etwas Unpassendem entsteht das Unreine. Der Schneekristall hat den Schmutz ausgesondert und ist ganz rein. So müssen unsere Gefühle werden.
