Esoteric Lesson
The student should always remember the principle: I can wait patiently. Impatient striving (efforts) does not bring progress. Whatever each person does will bear fruit in the future. This promise was given by the great masters. The student should meditate on the first formula every morning at the beginning of the day. Before doing so, they should separate themselves from all worries and thoughts. When a person rises at daybreak, they come out of the astral world and feel restored. 1See the lessons of March 3 and 8, 1909. They will feel calm. Then comes the first meditation. Do not think about the words, but let them flow into you. They contain the highest powers, for they are not put together arbitrarily, but with the highest wisdom. Meditate on everything figuratively. Finally, look back. Do not look back on important things, but on the contrary on unimportant things, and that from the end to the beginning. Memory is the bridge that leads us to the invisible chronicle. We have streets, fields, flowers, stones, and so on in our review in such a way that we either recall them in our memory or look back at them correctly with our eyes. This happens in the previous order of time. But there is also another way of looking back: as if the passage of time were in space. The so-called memory is lost, but something higher is gained. Backward, because in the higher worlds everything runs from the end to the beginning, and this is how the student must be prepared. Looking back should be done without regret, because regret is egoism. — See and think everything in such a way that it does not depend on the sensory world; imagine the former moon not with sensory means, but in such a way that a person who considers matter alone to be real would say it is a fantasy.
The other example is the three Logoi: sound is primary to the Holy Spirit, light to the Son, and fragrance to the Father. They are clearer in the other worlds. And here they are detached from things, and world sound, light, and fragrance permeate space. This first imagination is the way in which we are led to higher realities. This is only a brief summary.

Der Schüler möge stets des Grundsatzes gedenken: Ich kann mit Geduld warten. - Ein ungeduldiges Streben (Mühen) bringt nicht vorwärts. Was auch nur ein jeder tut, wird in der Zukunft seine Früchte bringen. Diese Verheißung gaben die großen Meister. Die erste Formel soll der Schüler an jedem Morgen bei Tagesanfang meditieren. Zuvor soll er sich sondern von aller Sorge und jedem Gedanken. Wenn der Mensch sich bei Tagesanbruch erhebt, kommt er aus der Astralwelt und fühlt sich wiederhergestellt.1Vgl. hierzu die Stunden vom 3. und 8. März 1909. Er wird Ruhe empfinden. Dann die erste Meditation. Nicht nachdenken über die Worte, sondern sie in sich einfließen lassen. Sie enthalten höchste Kräfte, denn sie sind nicht beliebig zusammengestellt, sondern mit höchster Weisheit. Alles bildlich meditieren. Zuletzt die Rückschau. Schaue nicht zurück auf wichtige Dinge, sondern im Gegenteil auf unwichtige, und zwar vom Ende zum Anfang hin. Die Erinnerung ist die Brücke, auf der wir zu der unsichtbaren Chronik geführt werden. Straßen, Felder, Blumen, Steine und so weiter haben wir so in der Rückschau, daß wir sie entweder in das Gedächtnis zurückrufen oder daß wir auf sie richtig mit den Augen zurückschauen. Dies geschieht in der vorherigen Zeitordnung. Aber es gibt auch eine andere Art der Rückschau: als ob die Zeitabläufe im Raume wären. Das sogenannte Gedächtnis geht verloren, aber etwas Höheres wird gewonnen. Rückwärts, weil in den höheren Welten alles vom Ende zum Anfang läuft, und so ist der Schüler vorzubereiten. Die Rückschau soll ohne Reue geschehen, weil Reue Egoismus ist. — Alles so sehen und denken, daß es nicht von der sinnlichen Welt abhängt; den früheren Mond sich so vorstellen, nicht mit sinnlichen Mitteln, sondern so, daß ein Mensch, der die Materie allein für das Wirkliche hält, sagt, es sei eine Phantasie.
Das andere Beispiel sind die drei Logoi: dem Heiligen Geiste ist der Ton zunächst, dem Sohne das Licht, dem Vater der Duft. Sie sind deutlicher in den anderen Welten. Und hier sind sie gelöst von den Dingen, und Weltton, -licht und -duft durchdringen den Raum. Diese erste Imagination ist die Weise, mit der wir zu den höheren Wirklichkeiten geführt werden. Dies ist nur eine kurze Wiedergabe.
