Rudolf Steiner in the Waldorf School
GA 298
Steiner addresses a wide range of topics in this volume. He
includes such subjects as the role of the parents in the schools,
the economic life of the school, the social mission of Waldorf
education and its relationship to the school reform movement.
However, if the reader expects to find easy prescriptions for the
tasks of the present time, there may be disappointment. I suspect that the true value of these talks lies in the questions they
prompt, in the issues they raise. Particularly from this perspective, they are a welcome addition to the national dialogue on
school reform, providing insight to Waldof and public educators alike as we grapple with these vital concerns.
