Part II: 1. The First, Second and Third Sonship of God

[ 1 ] I. Erste Sohnschaft Gottes, die erste Widerstrahlung der Urwesenheit, die in Gedanke, Name und Verlangen nichts verkündet als die Gottheit selbst, also nichts anderes ist als alleine Verkünderin des All-Einen. Es ist hier noch von keiner Differenzierung und Individualisierung die Rede. Was wir in irgendeinem Punkte dieser in sich selbst leuchtenden Unendlichkeit wahrnehmen können, ist nur die Eine Gottheit.

[ 1 ] First sonship of God, the first reflection of the essence, in thought, name and desire proclaiming nothing but the godhead itself, thus being nothing but solely the proclaimer of the All One.^{81The concept may be found in Basilidian Gnosis as early as the 2nd century A.D. Welburn; hudson, Anthroposophical Press 1997.} There is nothing yet of differentiation and individualization. At any point in this infinity, which is luminous to itself, all we can perceive is the One godhead.

[ 2 ] Weltbewußtsein: Das Bewußtsein des All hat dieses All zum Wissen.

[ 2 ] Cosmic awareness: The awareness of the All has this All for its knowledge.

[ 3 ] II. Zweite Sohnschaft Gottes, die zweite Widerstrahlung der Urwesenheit, die alles mit Daseinswillen durchdringt und den Urgeist aus den vereinzelten Wesenheiten erstrahlen läßt. Dieser Daseinswille ist ein einheitlicher. Es ist der Urgeist, der nicht bloß ist, sondern sich will. Indem er sich zum Beispiel als Gedanke will, will er sich als einzelner Gedanke. Der Gedanke verkündet zwar sich, aber er verkündet sich als Gedanke, als Glied Gottes.

[ 3 ] Second sonship of God, the second reflection of the essence, penetrating everything with will to exist and letting the original spirit shine forth from the singular entities. This will to exist is uniform. It is the original spirit and not only is but wills itself. Willing itself as thought, for example, it wills itself as individual thought. The thought proclaims itself, but it proclaims itself as thought, as part of God.

[ 4 ] [It is as if the hand were to say of itself: I am the hand, but I am but part of the organism.]

[ 5 ] Das All-Eine verkündet sich auf mannigfaltige Weise.

[ 5 ] The All One proclaims itself in many different ways.

[ 6 ] Die Mannigfaltigkeit der Wesen hat das All als göttliche Einheit zum Bewußtsein.

[ 6 ] The manifoldness of entities has the Universe as divine oneness for its conscious awareness.

[ 7 ] III. Dritte Sohnschaft Gottes, die dritte Widerstrahlung der Urwesenheit, die alles mit Einzelwillen durchdringt und den Urgeist in dieser Vereinzelung verborgen hält. Der Daseinswille ist ein mannigfaltiger. Es ist der Urgeist, der nicht bloß ist und nicht bloß sich will, sondern der jedes Wesen will. Wahrnehmbar wird also das Wollen des Urgeistes in dem Einzelwesen, das heißt, das Einzelwesen nimmt das Wollen als sein Wollen wahr.

[ 7 ] Third sonship of God, the third reflection of the essence which penetrates everything with single will and keeps the original spirit hidden in the state of singularity. The will to exist is manifold. It is the original spirit, which not merely is and does not merely will itself, but wills every entity. The active will of the original spirit becomes perceptible in the individual entity, that is, the individual entity perceives the will intent as its own will intent.

[ 9 ] Evolution als Erlösung durch den einheitlichen, über der Mannigfaltigkeit des Willens schwebenden Geist.

[ 9 ] Evolution as redemption through the uniform spirit floating above the manifoldness of the will.

[ 10 ] Der Geist, das ist der dritte Sohn. Die mannigfaltigen. Wesenheiten haben das Mannigfaltige zum Bewußtsein.

[ 10 ] The spirit, that is the third son. The manifold entities have the manifold in their awareness.

[ 11 ] I. In absteigender Linie findet sich zuerst Jiva, Mahat und Fohat. Das Allbewußtsein verkündet durch alle drei Elemente sich selbst.

[ 11 ] In descending order there is first of all jiva, mahat and fohat. All Consciousness proclaims itself through all three elements.

[ 12 ] Grundurteil [All ist All]

[ 13 ] Durch die Verkündigung entsteht das Mannigfaltige

[ 13 ] The manifold arises through proclamation.

[ 14 ] II. Im weiteren Absteigen verkündet das Mannigfaltige die göttliche Einheit in mannigfaltiger Weise.

[ 14 ] Descending further, the manifold proclaims the divine oneness in manifold ways.

[ 15 ] [Ich bin All]

[ 16 ] III. Im weiteren Absteigen verkündet jedes Mannigfaltige sich selbst.

[ 18 ] Im weiteren Absteigen wird die Verkündigung objektives Sein

[ 18 ] Descending further, proclamation becomes objective reality

[ 20 ] Sinnesempfindungen und Verstandesvorstellungen sind Ich Hier treffen wir in der Erfahrung unseren Menschen.

[ 25 ] Im weiteren Aufsteigen schließen wir unser Einzelbewußstsein; dieses Einzelbewußtsein (als Subjekt), läßt dadurch nicht das Sonderbewußtsein, sondern durch seine Passivität das Allbewußtsein walten. Es empfängt die Intuitionen unmittelbar als sie selbst. Sie zeigen nunmehr bei der aufsteigenden Entwickelung graduell ihr Eigenleben, nicht mehr als Gedanken, sondern als Wesen.

[ 25 ] Ascending further, we close our individual awareness; this individual awareness (as subject), thus does not let singular awareness reign but, through its passivity, All awareness. It receives the intuitions directly as themselves. Now, in ascending evolution, they gradually show their own life, no longer as thought but as essence.
