148. The Fifth Gospel III: Third Berlin Lecture 18 Nov 1913, Berlin

And now this Fifth Gospel, which can be gained from the Akasha Chronicle, also speaks to us of the temptation that followed the conception of the Christ-being. Only this time, the Akasha Chronicle shows that the temptation arises in a different spirit.
It is generally easy to mix up the order when reading the Akashic Records. I believe that the order of the so-called temptation is as I believe it to be correct.
Because not immediately - so the observation of the Fifth Gospel in the Akasha Chronicle tells us - did the Christ-being become completely one with the three bodies of Jesus of Nazareth.
94. An Esoteric Cosmology: The Devachanic World (Heaven) II 08 Jun 1906, Paris
Translated by René M. Querido

Matter can be subtilised to a point at which we are led over to ‘negative’ matter—Akasha. Events on Earth impress themselves into this akashic substance and can be rediscovered there even those which occurred in far remote ages of the past. Akashic pictures are not static and immobile. They unroll before the eye of the seer as living tableaux where objects and persons move and even speak.
At this point, the Initiate passes to a sphere beyond the world of stars. He no longer reads the Akashic Records from the side of the Earth but from the side of the heavens. The Akashic Record becomes the occult script of the stars and the Initiate experiences the primal source of the universe, of the Logos.
148. The Fifth Gospel III: Second Munich Lecture 10 Dec 1913, Munich

And at that moment, when the man had spoken – so it says in the Akasha Chronicle – the apparition was before him again, introducing itself as Jesus of Nazareth, who at that moment again disappeared before his eyes.
Because the sequence can sometimes be easily mixed up when observing the Akashic Records, and I am not completely sure of the order. I will only tell the story to the extent that I know it exactly.
It was not yet possible to determine from the Akasha Chronicle where it had come from, whether it was of earthly or cosmic origin. But it was there, and what such an eclipse means can be observed occultly during a solar eclipse.
148. The Fifth Gospel III: Hamburg Lecture 16 Nov 1913, Hamburg

It now falls to me to speak of things that have arisen in the course of our anthroposophical life, of spiritual scientific research gleaned from the Akasha Chronicle and related to the life of Jesus. In Kristiania, I have already compiled some material about the life of Christ Jesus.
So I would like to emphasize the spiritual value of remembering such events and would like to go into some of the things that emerge from the Akasha Chronicle as a kind of gospel, as the Fifth Gospel. The four others were not written simultaneously either; they were written under the inspiration of the Akashic Records.
It was particularly significant that it turned out, also from the Akasha Chronicle, what we today call the Fifth Gospel: that after the whirlwind the cloths lay in the tomb, as it is faithfully described in the Gospel of John.
148. The Fifth Gospel III: First Stuttgart Lecture 22 Nov 1913, Stuttgart

What is particularly striking when one focuses on this point in human development in an Akashic chronicling manner is that within the whole family and within the whole environment in Nazareth, this boy was alone and lonely in relative youth with his inner revelation, which went beyond everything that others could know at that time.
This experience makes a particularly deep impression when considering the Akasha Chronicle of this point in human development. He came to a pagan area. At this point, I would like to make it very clear: if you ask me where this was, where he came, I still have to tell you today: I don't know.
By fixing one's gaze on this point in the Akasha Chronicle, one indeed gets the impression of an infinitely meaningful but infinitely painful experience of the developmental history of humanity, which in turn is compressed into this imaginative moment.
94. Theosophy Based on the Gospel of John: Eighth Lecture 06 Nov 1906, Munich

In occult writings, everything a person has done is inscribed in the Akasha Chronicle. Once this has been grasped in the future, there will be no more worldly punishment. The Christ shows how judgment will be administered in the future in chapter 8, verses 1-11, of the Gospel of John: it is the story of the adulteress. What Christ says and does there is meant to show that everything that man has done is written in the Earth Akashic Records. This is the direct transfer of jurisdiction to the self-fulfilling law of karma. The living consciousness of the Earth's Akashic Records is Christ Himself, and so judgment is handed over to Him by the Father, and He has power to forgive sins and take them upon Himself (John 5:21, 22, 23): “For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom He wills.
90a. Self-Knowledge and God-Knowledge I: On Devachan 18 Feb 1904, Berlin

Thus we have followed man through the three worlds and have reached the boundary where the destiny of these three worlds is written in monumental letters: that is the Akasha Chronicle. What shines from this Akasha Chronicle into these three worlds from the outside, as it were, appears to us when we are within these three worlds, in much the same way as when we look out into the starry sky and see, as it were, a heavenly writing in the constellations. Man comes to decipher this writing when he is able to work his way up to the highest regions of Devachan. The initiates are able to read this Akashic writing and then, when man is able to read more or less of this Akashic writing, then he becomes a participant in the destiny of humanity, then he becomes one of the spiritual leaders of humanity, directing the forces for centuries to come, sending spiritual currents that do not come from the three worlds, but are sent into these three worlds from even higher worlds.
130. Esoteric Christianity and the Mission of Christian Rosenkreutz: The Christ Impulse as Living Reality II 20 Nov 1911, Munich
Translated by Pauline Wehrle

Jeshu ben Pandira was not spared from the hard fate he himself predicted; he was stoned, and his corpse was suspended on a cross. The original chronicle was preserved in the hands of a few of his adherents, in deep secrecy. We can best follow what happened to it later on when the great Church father Jerome44 himself says that he had received the document of the Matthew Gospel from a Christian sect.
There is every reason and justification then for spiritual research today, in shedding new light upon the Gospels, to go back to the Akashic Record, because there and there only are they to be found in their original form. Let there be no mistake about it.
148. The Fifth Gospel III: First Munich Lecture 08 Dec 1913, Munich

You know that it is possible to gain access to events that took place in the past through the so-called Akashic Records research. So an attempt was made to gain access to the most important event in the evolution of the earth, the event that is connected with the Mystery of Golgotha.
We would call a boy of the highest talent, according to what emerges from the Akasha Chronicle, this boy from the Solomonic line of the House of David. We cannot address the other Jesus boy from the Nathanic line with such predicates.
Unfortunately, it has not been possible to determine the exact location and name of the place in the Akasha Chronicle; for some reason, the impression of the place has been blurred on the map of the earth, so to speak.
117a. The Gospel of John and the Three Other Gospels: Tenth Lecture 14 Jan 1910, Stockholm

After the disciple Month had allowed himself to be imbued, month after month, with a sense of humility and gratitude towards those who were lower than he, one day this feeling was transformed into a unified astral experience that is the same for all people. He sees himself in the Akashic Records at the point of Jesus Christ, he sees an image of the foot washing in front of him. But instead of Christ Jesus, he sees himself.
This feeling is a seed that is then transformed into the image of the scourging of Christ, which one sees before oneself in the Akasha Chronicle. In the face of this experience, which is also the same for everyone, one can no longer doubt the historical events in Palestine.
The disciple feels as if the brain has been switched off, killed; and he experiences a kind of piercing of the physical brain and sees in the Akashic Records a picture of the “Crowning with Thorns”. Through this he receives the knowledge of who the Christ is: that he is truly the Spirit of the Sun, who has descended to the Earth.
